Data status explained

The Data status panel on each card shows whether a connection is delivering data. When a product shows missing data, check this panel first.

Before you start

Plan: Available on all plans.
The four data status states: up to date (1), waiting for first read (2), unable to read (3), and available (4).

Reading the data status

The data status shows one of three states:

  • Up to date (1): Loop IQ read the system in its last check. Last read shows when.
  • Connected · Waiting for first read (2): the system was connected within the last day and Loop IQ has not read it yet. Check again tomorrow.
  • Can't read this system (3): the last read failed, usually because a credential expired or was rotated. Last read shows the last successful read.
  • Available (4): Loop IQ can connect to this system, but your organisation has not connected it yet. The data status reads Included in your product, or Requires a paid product if the system needs a product you do not yet subscribe to. Click Connect to set it up.

Loop IQ reads from each system once every 24 hours, so changes made in the source system appear after the next read.

Always on cards show Data available in place of these states, because Loop IQ maintains those connections. See Integration statuses explained.

Identifying a problem

  • Can't read this system: click Manage and update the credential. For Services Australia, Loop IQ also sends an in-app and email alert when the PRODA credential expires.
  • Still waiting for first read after 48 hours: usually incorrect credentials or an allow-list blocking Loop IQ. Review the connection steps for that system. If it is still not reading, contact Loop IQ support.
  • Last read more than two days ago: the connection has stopped, usually because a key was rotated or an allow-list was changed.
  • Data missing for some facilities: the credential is usually limited to a single site.
Important: Last read shows when Loop IQ last read the system, not how current the data in that system is. Services Australia reports occupancy several days behind, so a refresh this morning may contain data that ends last week.
